Is Golden Emarat art made of real gold?
Yes. Every piece is finished in real 24K gold, permanently bonded to the surface through professional electroplating - the same category of process used for fine jewellery. The gold on the surface is genuine 24-carat gold, not paint, foil, or a gold-coloured alloy.
What is the difference between 24K gold finish and solid gold?
Solid gold means the entire object is gold throughout. At artwork scale that would weigh tens of kilograms and cost several hundred thousand dirhams in raw metal, making it bullion rather than art. Will the gold tarnish or fade?
No. Gold does not oxidise, corrode, or react with air. It does not tarnish the way silver does. Behind glass, undisturbed, the surface will look the same in thirty years. The only realistic cause of damage is abrasion from cleaning it with polish or an abrasive cloth.
What is the artwork mounted on?
A high-grade metal substrate, engineered before plating so it holds fine detail and does not warp. It is then mounted on deep velvet, chosen to absorb stray light so the gold retains its depth, and sealed within a framed enclosure. More on the substrate.
Does every piece include a certificate of authenticity?
Yes. The certificate records the title, size, frame finish, materials, date of production, edition number where applicable, and the studio signature. Keep it separate from the frame - it is the document an insurer or future buyer will ask for. More here.
Are the pieces numbered or limited edition?
Only where a product page explicitly says so. Most work is made to order, meaning it is produced when you buy it rather than held in stock. Made to order and limited edition are different claims, and we do not conflate them. If a piece is not described as limited, it is not limited.
Which models include 925 sterling silver?
Sterling silver appears only on the specific models that carry it, and those product pages state it. Where a piece is gold only, it is described as gold only. We do not imply silver content that is not present.
Can I request a custom piece?
Yes. We develop bespoke commissions at scales up to two metres, built from an original concept rather than adapted from a catalogue design. Lead times are longer than standard pieces. Write to info@golden-emarat.com to begin.
Ordering and delivery
How long does production take?
Every piece is made to order and takes 14 to 20 days to produce. Delivery time is added on top of that, so plan against both figures together rather than the production time alone. For a gift with a fixed date, order at least six weeks ahead.
Do you deliver across the UAE?
Yes. Delivery within the UAE is free, fully insured, and requires a signature on receipt. Nothing is left at a door.
Do you ship outside the UAE?
Yes, we accept international enquiries. Rates, duties, and transit times vary by destination. Contact info@golden-emarat.com before ordering from outside the UAE.
Is delivery insured?
Yes. Every delivery is fully insured in transit and requires a signature. If a piece arrives damaged, photograph it before unwrapping further and contact us immediately.

Care and display
How do I clean a 24K gold-finished artwork?
A clean, dry microfibre cloth on the glass and frame. Nothing else, ever. Never use metal polish, glass cleaner sprayed directly onto the piece, paper towel, or any abrasive. Polish works by removing metal, and on a gold surface it removes gold. Full care guide.
Can it hang in direct sunlight?
The gold is unaffected by sunlight, but prolonged direct sun will fade the velvet backing over years. Hang the piece where it catches reflected or side light rather than sitting in a direct beam for hours. Gold looks better in raking light regardless.
Can it hang in a bathroom or humid room?
No. Avoid bathrooms, steam rooms, and unventilated kitchens. Condensation forming inside a sealed frame has nowhere to escape. Ordinary air-conditioned indoor air anywhere in the UAE is a stable environment.
What height should I hang it at?
Place the centre of the work at roughly 145 to 155 centimetres from the floor - standing eye level. In a majlis, where guests are seated low, hang considerably lower, around 110 to 120 centimetres. Most people hang art too high. More on placement and light.
Which frame finish suits a dark wall?
White or gold. A black frame on a near-black wall dissolves and the artwork loses its boundary. On a light or mid-tone wall, choose black for maximum contrast, or bronze for warmth. Full frame guide.

What does the falcon represent in the UAE?
